# Farming FRT

Future Reward Token (FRT) is used to incentivize liquidity and the usage of the protocol.

FRTs can be traded or redeemed at their expiry date (a season usually lasts 3 monts), for its underlying assets (the backing), held in the Reward Contract. 

After each season, a new FRT is launched with new backing.

FRTs are distributed through [Merkl](https://app.merkl.xyz/).
